Dennis Canote—
Director of Physician Services
Dennis has a Master Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Canote worked 28 years in state government in various roles including 1) over ten years in the Office of Administration Budget and Planning analyzing budget and legislative issues for human service departments and developing recommendations for the Governor’s office 2) 11 years at a state operated acute care psychiatric hospital (Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center) serving both children and adults, initially as the COO and the last six years as the CEO and 3) the remainder of time in planning and legislative review functions for the criminal justice system with an emphasis on services for juveniles. For the past five years Canote has served as the Director of Physician and Outpatient Nursing Services for Midwest Behavioral Healthcare Inc. He is responsible for recruiting physicians and nurses, scheduling coverage at 32 clinics, facilitating physician productivity, and other administrative functions.
